Insertion Magmeters

Insertion Magmeters are inserted into a pipe through an insertion point or tap positioned at a specific point. Here it measures the flow pressure. Suitable for various liquids, chemicals, oils, and water. Applications include HVAC systems, water treatment, and chemical processing.

    Magmeter Flow Sensor - Overview

This insertion magnetic flow sensor features no moving parts. It is available in corrosion-resistant materials to provide long-term reliability with minimal maintenance costs. Material options include PP with stainless steel, PVDF with stainless steel, PVDF with Hastelloy-C, or PVDF with Titanium. These versatile, simple-to-install sensors deliver accurate flow measurements for a wide range of pipe sizes ranging from DN15 to DN900 (½ to 36 inches), making them suitable for various applications. These Magmeters offer frequency/digital (S3L) or 4 to 20 mA output options. Both are available on the blind and display versions. The frequency or digital (S3L) sensor output can be used with Georg Fischer's extensive line of flow instruments while the 4 to 20 mA output can be used for direct input to PLCs, chart recorders, etc. Both the 4 to 20 mA output and the digital (S3L) sensor interface are available for long-distance signal transmission. An additional benefit is the empty pipe detection which features a zero flow output when the sensors are not completely wetted. Also, the frequency output is bi-directional and can be set using the 4 to 20 mA output, using the display, or the 3-0250 USB to Digital (S3L) set-up tool. The display version is available with relays and features permanent and re-settable total values which can be seen on the display. The display contains multi-language options such as English, Spanish, German, French, Italian and Portuguese.

Insertion Type Electromagnetic Flow Meter -Overview

The insertion type electromagnetic flow meter provides an economical option for large pipeline flow measurement while retaining the advantages of the common magnetic flow meter. It can be used for pipe sizes between DN100mm and DN3000mm. It can be easily installed due to its hot-tap structure. The main advantage of using an electromagnetic flow meter is that it has no moving parts. It requires very little maintenance.  This insertion type electromagnetic flow meter consists of an ABS or Polypropylene electromagnetic sensing probe mounted on the end of a support rod.

  • Metal Magmeter Flow Sensors | GF 2552

Metal Magmeter Flow Sensors - Overview

The GF 2552 Magmeter features all-stainless steel construction. The PVDF nosepiece and FKM O-rings are the only other wetted materials. It installs quickly into standard 1¼ in. or 1½ in. pipe outlets and is adjustable to fit pipes from DN50 to DN2550. Its 2 sensor lengths allow maximum flexibility to accommodate a variety of hardware configurations, including ball valves for hot-tap installations. When it is equipped with the frequency output, it is compatible with any externally powered GF flow instrument, while the digital (S3 L) output enables multi-channel compatibility with GF 8900, 9900 or 9950 Multi-Parameter instruments. The three output options include 4 to 20 mA, Frequency or Digital (S3 L). Select the blind 4 to 20 mA current output to interface directly with data loggers, PLCs or telemetry systems. Key features include Empty Pipe Detection, LED-assisted troubleshooting, and bi-directional span capability (in 4 to 20 mA models). The GF 3-0252 Configuration Tool is available to customise every performance feature so it can be adapted to the user’s application requirements.
