Check Valve

A check valve is an automatic safety device designed to allow fluids and gasses to flow in one direction only. Check valves ensure gasses or liquids are flowing in the correct direction and create tight seals to prevent leaks. Fluids enter the valve at the inlet where they force the disc off the seat of the valve and exit through the outlet. Flow continues as the pressure is maintained and keeps the disc open. When the pressure drops, the disc automatically returns to its seat to shut off the flow. Used to prevent water hammers and protect piping.

  • Angle Seat Check Valve | 303/304

Angle Seat Check Valve - Overview

Type 303 and 304 Angle Seat Check Valves are designed exclusively to shut off or pass approved media within the approved pressure and temperature limits after installation in a piping system. The maximum service life is 25 years. Angle seat check valves are not suitable for media containing solids. The Angle Seat Valve is exceptionally reliable and versatile. The check valves can be installed horizontally or vertically. The check element can be easily serviced without having to dismantle the entire valve. They require minimal maintenance and can handle both small and large pipe configurations. These valves are made from extremely robust plastic.

  • Wafer Check Valve | 369

    Wafer Check Valve - Overview

The type 369 Wafer Check Valve is designed especially for large installations. It requires little maintenance and is extremely compact. The design is optimised for installations between ISO/DIN as well as ANSI/BS connections. The flap traps can be installed either horizontally or vertically. When the medium flows, it opens up the plate of the flap trap, allowing the medium to flow through. The flap closes again if the medium pressure falls below a certain threshold. The flap traps of Type 369 are intended to prevent media from flowing back within the allowable pressure and temperature range. The flap traps are available with or without a return spring made of V4A or Hastelloy. This is suitable for use in water treatment and the chemical process industry.

    Wafer Check Valve - Features

    • Self-closing check valve
    • Horizontal or vertical installation (water column/gravity / optional spring)
    • Installation between both ISO/DIN and ANSI/BS connecting elements
    • Simple installation
    • Highly resistant materials
    • Robust design
    • Virtually maintenance free
    • Parts that come into contact with media are highly resistant plastics and elastomers
    • Optimised flange gasket made of EPDM/FKM installed in the valve housing. Suited for fluted connecting elements
    • Disc seals available in EPDM/FKM and are installed in plates
    • For pulsating flow, flap traps with reset spring (stainless steel V4A/Hastelloy C) available. Reduces noise development

  • Cone Check Valve | 561-562

    Cone Check Valve - Overview

The check valve is a component that allows the flow in one direction only. The check valve design combines increased safety and efficiency with easy handling. Check valves  561 and 562 easily fit in all piping systems. The self-closing function and the silent operation of the valve support safety and comfort.

    Cone Check Valve - Features

    • Safe, simple and efficient
    • Type 561-  100 % leak-proof at a water column of 2 m
    • Type 562 guarantees 100 % leak-tightness when the valve is in idle mode
    • Gasket always in fixed position. Prevents slipping, bending or washing out
    • Corrosion-resistant
    •  Autonomous self-closing mechanism without additional energy source
    • Self-cleaning design – virtually no maintenance
    • Optimised flow design
    • Corrosion-resistant and high-pressure rating
    • Wide range of materials for optimum chemical resistance
    • Self-closing
    • Valve permit a far higher flow rate than standard check valves with a ball
