Radar Level Meters

Used to determine the level for harsh environments including volatile gases, high temperatures, high pressures, steam, vacuums and dust. Because these meters utilise radar they are minimally affected by corrosion, foam and a dusty environment.

Non-contact Radar Level Transmitters - Overview

This non-contact radar level transmitter uses 80 GHz FMCW radar. The key advantages of 80 GHz technology are a smaller antenna size, improved focusing capability, and a narrower beam angle. This can be used to measure liquids, bulk solids, emulsions, and chemicals across the water, food, energy, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries, delivering millimetre-accurate results. This is also well suited for liquids with a gas blanket, vapour-prone substances, and large-particle bulk solids. This includes open-channel flow measurement and has threshold functions to suppress false and interfering echoes. The transmitter can also operate in a vacuum. The device can also be used with HART® compliant NIVELCO EView2, MultiCONT universal process controller, MonoCONT smart field display & data logger, and PACTware™ software, or configured via Bluetooth® communication using the MobileEView application.

  • Anti-Corrosion Radar Level Meter | QT 901

Anti-Corrosion Radar Level Meter  - Overview

This radar level meter is a 26G high-frequency radar sensor. The maximum measurement range can reach up to 10 meters. The sensor material is PTFE which is suitable in corrosive tanks containing acids or alkaline liquids. A radar signal is emitted in short pulse form from the antenna end of the radar level gauge. The pulse is reflected by the surface of the object. It is then received by the antenna as a radar echo. The advanced microprocessor and echo processing technology enhances the echo ability and also helps to avoid interference. The rotation period of the radar pulse from emission to reception is proportional to the distance, which then calculates and indicates the level of the tank. The integrated anti-corrosion outer cover effectively prevents the corrosive medium from contacting the probe. It has excellent anti-corrosion performance making it suitable for the measurement of corrosive mediums. It has excellent measurement accuracy and reliability. It has a high signal-to-noise ratio to ensure better performance even in a fluctuating environment.

  • Radar Continuous Level Measurement | GF2291

Radar Continuous Level Measurement - Overview

This Radar level transmitter is designed for continuous level measuring of conductive or non-conductive liquids, pulps and solids. It operates based on the Time Domain Reflectometry principle. Micropulses are sent along a probe guide at the speed of light. As soon as the impulse reaches the surface of the medium, it is reflected back to the electronic module. Level distance is directly proportional to the flight time of the impulse. The reflected signal is dependent on the dielectric constant of the material; the feasibility of the measurement is εr ≥ 1.9. The TDR technology is unaffected by the properties of the medium as well as that of the space above it. Measurement is also unaffected by the change in the physical properties of the materials such as temperature, pressure, and dielectric constant. It's reliability and precise measurements are useful in challenging conditions like agitated liquids, aggressive media, heavy chemical fumes, pressurized tanks or foam. Easy installation is ensured as you enter the basic tank parameters via the transmitters HMI or the GF Eview software and then the device configuration is completed. Secure and fast mounting of the devices is enabled by multiple options for process connection and coatings. Its superb durability is a result of high-performance coatings that protect the contacting probes in harsh conditions, ensuring even greater reliability.

  • Radar Level Meter | QT902

    Radar Level Meter - Overview

This high-performance, high-precision, high-reliability Radar Level Meter is low maintenance and has a long service life. Suitable for harsh environments including volatile gases, high temperatures, high pressures, steam, vacuums and dust. The Level Meter is hardly affected by corrosion and foam, and a dusty environment will not affect its effectiveness. It can continuously measure different material levels. The 26GHz high-frequency transmitting frequency and the small beam angle concentrate the energy and allow for a stronger anti-interference ability. This results in improved accuracy and reliability. The antenna is small, easy to install, and has a variety of sizes to choose from. The wavelength is shorter, which has a better effect on inclined solid surfaces. Good results can also be obtained for small tank measurements.
