Vortex Flow Meters

Vortex flow meters have an obstruction in the path of the flowing media known as a bluff body. As the medium passes by vortices are formed on either side and break away in an alternating pattern. This causes pressure pulsations.  A sensing element picks up the pulsations and converts them into a signal. Suitable for liquid, steam or gas. It is very durable and operates independently of pressure and temperature variations.

    Insertion Vortex Flow Meter - Overview

    This insertion vortex flow meter measures the volume flow of non-conductive liquids, gases, and saturated and superheated steam. It has no moving parts, eliminating abrasion and wear. It is in a fully welded SS304 body (SS316 selectable). It has a patented sensor and flow sensor body and eliminates drift and vibration influence. It is highly accurate, especially for gas flow. It has a variety of signal outputs and selections such as 4-20mA, pulse with HART or pulse with RS485. When the temperature and pressure change significantly in gas flow measurement the vortex flow meter could add temperature and pressure compensation. The vortex flow meter could also work as a BTU meter and measure steam or hot water energy.  Applications include the chemicals and petrochemical industries. Suitable for use with light oil or any purified water, such as thermal oils, desalinated water, demineralised water, RO water, boiler feed water, condensate water etc.

    The Standard Vortex Flow Meter is robust and measures the flow volume of non-conductive liquids, gases, and saturated and superheated steam. The vortex flow meter can add temperature and pressure compensation. It has an embedded sensor, with 4 piezo-electric crystals encapsulated inside the sensor, which is patented. There are no moving parts, and no abrasion, and the non-wearing parts inside the vortex flow meter sensor are in a fully welded SS304 body (SS316 selectable). It eliminates drift & vibration influence well compared to other meters. It can also work as a BTU meter to measure steam or hot water energy. It has a wide range of applications.
