This metal-bodied flow meter functions using a spring-loaded orifice moving over a tapered cone, creating a variable area flow meter. The flow is indicated by a magnetic follower ring under a scale on an external glass tube. The flow reading is independent of viscosity up to 200 cs. Suitable for water or oil.
